Hello Year 6...

Hello everyone,

Hope you're not missing us too much. Greece is fantastic! So far we've spent most of our time in school learning about their education system but today we got the chance to visit the Royal Tombs. This is where Phillip II is buried- he was Alexander the Great's father. We entered the tombs deep underground and saw all of the treasures he was buried with- lots and lots of gold! There was also weapons and armour which was over 2000 years old. As you can imagine Mrs Clark was very interested in this being the history geek that she is. Tomorrow we are going for an official tour of Thessaloniki and taking a trip to the White Tower- this was once a prison! We can't wait to find out more. The weather is very hot and we're constantly applying sun cream!!
We've been fed very well and the girls are trying lots of traditional Greek dishes- chicken souvlaki- which Naomi recommended- is our favourite so far!
Hope you're all behaving yourselves- can't wait to see you all!
Lots of love Mrs C xx
